Mr Angry Stays Calm

In a tense match of two and a half hours the crowd of 2 were treated to some close snooker as Mr.Angry recorded his first win of the season, 3-1. The first frame saw both players potting very well without any inhibtion. The Jackal was playing with panache and Mr Angry could only stand and admire. Then to make matters worse Mr.Angry , who needed snookers on the colours, gave away a foul too many. 1-0 The Jackal. The second frame was the turn of Mr Angry to play some great shots but The Jackal was hanging onto his coat tails. Unable to shake The Jackal off, Mr Angry capitulated with a series of fouls and looked to be heading to a two frame deficit. But when all seemed lost he potted a great blue, a fine pink, and a mighty fluke on the black to take the frame with an 18 clearance. 1-1,  and by far the best potting of the league so far, both players playing like title contenders. The third frame started in the same vein, each player matching the other, pot for pot, but as it neared the colours the tension set in, both players afraid to lose. Mr Angry merely by staying consistent eased away to win it on the blue. 2-1 . Before this match no player had won the last frame of a game and both players played the fourth frame liked they did not want to win this one ! The Jackal had lost his swagger and could pot almost nothing.  But fouls kept the game close and at the colours it seemed impossible to call as both players were nervy. But just as it seemed the game would go to the wire The Jackal fouled again and again to give the match to Mr.Angry , 3-1. Credit to both players to a match which at times was the best snooker seen, to The Jackal for showing he is a genuine talent, and to Mr Angry for a great comeback victory, which puts his late title surge back on course. Look out The Hurricane, The Jackal looks ready for next week's showdown.

Mr Angry - After the first frame I thought I was done for.
