The Badger Sets The Pace

A great evening of entertaining snooker saw the The Badger out foxThe Jackal to win 4-0. The crowd of 2 saw a good spirited contest which lasted two hours and fifteen minutes. The first frame saw both players getting one ball breaks and it was edgy stuff. The Jackal using his pool skills to lay snookers kept in the game but he committed one foul to many when he went in off the blue, when needing the last three balls. The second frame was now crucial. In the cool atmosphere with the temperature kept very low to avoid profuse sweating, both players raised their game , but The Jackal lost his tip. Again the tactical game of The Jackal looked to have put him on top against the Blaster , hit or miss Badger. However when looking set to lose the frame The Badger reeled off blue, then a brilliant pink and then black to win. With The Jackal not able to find a potting rhythm The Badger blasted away in frame three playing a great array of bewildering shots to storm to the frame. The last frame was played hard by both players but the low crouching style of the Badger, with great use of all the equipment , again proved too much. The Jackal's unbeaten run was over, but he had showed why he is still rated with his tactical game and individual potting. The Badger , when he has stopped laughing, may well think anything is possible now.

The Badger 4 vs The Jackal 0  48(8) - 27(6), 57(13) - 45(8), 59(8) - 7(1), 54(8) - 21(2)
