The Hurricane Is Blown Off Course

Title favourite The Hurricane saw his title hopes suffer an early setback as he was whitewashed 4-0 by The Lockout. The first game was edgy with both players being cautious with thier positional shots meaning breaks were small and the frame went to the colours. At this point The Lockout, sporting a bright purple tee shirt, moved up a gear and with clinical precision picked off the colours one at a time to take the frame on the pink. The second frame was similar with The Hurricane edging clear without playing particularly fluent snooker. The Lockout needed all of the colours and he laid a brilliant snooker on the brown and then cleared the last 4 balls with a break of 22 in the highlight of the league so far. 2- 0. In the third frame The Hurricane opened up the game with a new aggressive policy which was working well as The Lockout seemed almost inept. But just as it seemed The Hurricane would move easily back into the match The Lockout again picked off the colours and then the Hurricane disastrously went in off the pink leaving the pink over the middle pocket. The iceman Lockout was not going to  miss this opportunity. 3-0. The fourth frame was a canter for The Lockout as The Hurricane ran out of puff and conceded on the blue.
