The Jackal Comes To the Party

In a entertaining encounter The Jackal scored his first success of the season with a convincing 3-1 win over Mr.Angry. The match included a dinner break and lasted two and a half hours in front of a crowd of 1. The first frame saw both players being adventurous with scant regard for safety. Reds were potted quickly but with few colours. The game was even on the colours but The Jackal threw it away by fouling twice on the green. 0-1. The second frame was equally quick but this time blacks and pinks were following the reds. Mr.Angry was slowing down , having demolished a massive plate of Spaghetti Bolognese and a John Smith's bitter. The Jackal seemed to have been inspired by his dinner and when the farme went to the colours he rattled in a succession of pots to level the match. 1-1. The beginning of the third frame saw the refereee struggling for words to describe a category for this brilliant snooker,  The Jackal offered the description  'obese !'. as a category. Much jovial laughter followed. Once the match resumed The Jackal was on fire and brushed aside MrAngry with accurate potting including a break of 11. 2-1. Could Mr Angry recover, could The Jackal hold his nerve ?. These were the questions now being asked. Well, if you give away 44 points in fouls you expect to lose the frame easily, and Mr. Angry did both. 3-1. The Jackal is now right in the mix for third place and would be expected to throw a spannner in the title challenges of The Hurricane and Lockout. Mr. Angry probably needs to eat a salad next time round.
