The Hurricane Moves Closer To The Title

It was a comfortable evening for the Hurricane as he blew away The Badger in two hours fifty minutes in front of a crowd of 1. As usual The Badger, perhaps thinking of work, turned up late in an attempt to rattle his opponent in the title eliminator. The start of the first frame was edgy but whereas The Hurricane was solid, The Badger could string nothing together. Fouls by The Hurricane kept The Badger in the game but The Hurricane potted a great pink to take it. 1-0. The second frame was similar with The Hurricane potting well and playing good safety. The Badger was not giving in,  but again he was reliant on The Hurricane's fouls to stay afloat. But The Hurricane was too good. 2-0. In the third frame The Hurricane was awesome and The Badger had nothing in the tank. But again a flurry of fouls pulled The Badger back only for The Hurricane to win it on the pink. 3-0, game over. The fourth frame will be rembered for two moments. Firstly The Hurricane fouled the pink when playing a red.  Forgetting the rules, perhaps thinking of pool, The Badger picked up the white even though the Hurricane had not gone in-off and put it in the D to pot a red over the green pocket. He was spotted however and a foul was called. The Hurricane who had been cruising through the frame now lost concentration and started committing fouls, as The Badger then produced more gamesmanship. On the colours he potted the brown and then when everyone thought he would go for the blue next, instead he opted to try and pot the pink. With the whole arena in hysterics a foul was called. However his plan had worked, The Hurricane was bewildered and from nowhere The Badger potted the pink and black to snatch a controversial frame. 3-1. The Hurricane must now surely go on to win the League, the Badger will probably join the circus.

The Hurricane 3 vs 1 The Badger  45(6) - 30(5), 46(8) - 21(8), 57(6) - 42(6), 53(8) - 62(13).
